Refresh your bedroom for a better sleep.

Now that Winter is behind us, it’s time to spring into action and conduct a bedroom refresh. We spend more time in our bedroom than any other room in our home so it’s important to make it a cozy place to rest and rejuvenate. Here are a few spring bedroom tips and ideas to get you started …...

Switch your bed linen - Pack away the dark colours, flannel sheets and heavy blankets. Replace them with lighter and brighter fabrics and colours so that you wake up feeling refreshed in a light and bright bedroom setting.

Swap your pillows – we spend so many hours in bed with our heads resting on our pillows, so it’s essential to have the correct pillow for your sleep-type. If you’re waking up with a sore neck or if you’re unable to find a comfortable sleeping position, it might mean that your pillow is no longer providing the support you need. Plus, it is recommended that we replace our pillows every 1 to 2 years to ensure that you’re using pillows are clean and free of allergens.

Put clutter to bed - A clean, well-organized space helps to keep you organised and calm the mind so that you can focus on other priorities. Utilise the space under your bed using storage boxes OR, hopefully you have a bed frame with drawer-storage or a gas-lift bed where you can keep all your spare bedding, winter clothing, and other items for a clutter-free bedroom.

Give your bedroom a deep clean. Wipe away winter dust, clean your windows, shake out area rugs, replace burnt out lightbulbs. Get into the nooks and crannies clean them out! It feels so good.

Reorganise the wardrobe - Spring is the perfect time to declutter and toss out any items you no longer wear. Then, once you’ve decided what to keep, pack away the heavier winter clothes and bring out lighter and brighter colours. Once you’re done, you'll feel wonderfully refreshed!

Add a touch of fresh – adding plants, flowers or a diffuser is a great way to spruce up your bedroom and surround yourself with that new spring-fresh feeling. Adding plants looks beautiful and can also improve air quality and promote relaxation.
